  1. Go to Mission Row station.
  2. Change into uniform at the cloakroom.
  3. Open the department menu (default F6) and set yourself on duty. Enter your callsign.
  4. Collect your kit from the armoury.
  5. Switch your bodycam on.
  6. Take a patrol car from the department garage. Check the fuel before you leave.
  7. Do a radio check on the police channel.
  8. Tell dispatch you are available.

To go off duty, do it in reverse: finish or hand over your call, finish your reports, return the car and your kit, and set yourself off duty in the department menu.

LEO-4.1 Duty status is not an escape hatch.

Going on or off duty to get out of a scene, a chase or a search is fail roleplay (§5.4).

LEO-4.2 Off duty means off duty.

What you learned on shift does not exist for you as a civilian, or for any other character you play (§3.6, §5.5, §7.6).

LEO-4.3 Recruits ride with a trainer.

A Recruit goes on duty only when a Field Training Officer is on shift to ride with them.
