Dispatch
Calls reach you through dispatch. Some come from residents. The city also alerts police by itself in some cases: a buyer can report a street deal, and a house robbery can trip an alert. Take a call in dispatch before you drive to it, so the shift can see who is going where.
MDT
Use the MDT to look up a person or a vehicle, check licences and warrants, write reports, file charges, and post a notice for a wanted person or vehicle.
LEO-5.1 Report before you leave.
Every arrest, every use of force and every search of a home or warehouse has a report in the MDT before you go off duty.
LEO-5.2 The radio is in character and for work.
No jokes, music or out-of-character talk on the police channel.
